A 40-year-old employee of a service provider appointed by Adar Poonawalla Clean City Initiative was seriously injured in an accident in Hadapsar on Monday morning.
Krishnan Komandur, CEO of Adar Poonawalla Clean City Initiative, told TOI that Harale’s condition was stable. “Harale works as a glutton machine operator. He is an employee of our service provider, ASR Services. He is in the general ward. He was earlier kept in the ICU. Our organization is bearing his medical expenses,” Komandur said.
Harale’s supervisor, Nitin Malhari Kale (30), has lodged an FIR against Vishal Subhash Jadhav (21), the tempo driver, under the relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code and the Motor Vehicles Act. “The tempo driver coming from the Hadapsar side lost control of his vehicle and hit Harale from behind,” Kale said. “The driver picked Harale up and rushed him to the hospital for treatment,” he added.
ASR Services has deployed seven employees in the Hadapsar area. “Harale has been with ASR Services for two years,” Kale said.
“In his statement, Harale said his cleaning machine was placed on the cycle track and that he was clearing the main road when the tempo hit him from the rear,” investigating officer Prakash Shingade of the Hadapsar police station said. “The doctor will let us know if he has developed fractures after conducting medical tests in two days,” he added.
“We have booked Jadhav and seized the tempo. We have summoned Jadhav for questioning on Wednesday. We will issue a notice, directing him to cooperate with the investigation, as he was been charged for committing a bailable offence,” Shingade said.
