The state government has initiated steps to resolve long pending cases of dam and project affected people in Pune district within next two months. The cases of rehabilitation were pending since many years. They are of different categories and pending at various levels. The issue was raised in last assembly session by elected representatives. The government had assured to take steps to address the problems with priority. The state relief and rehabilitation minister Patangrao Kadam said “Besides addressing pending cases, we have planned to update data of every project in dedicated software. This would help faster clearance of cases and minimize errors and delays.” Officials at the district administration said that more than thousand cases of dam and project affected people were pending. Some cases were pending for more than a decade.
