The traffic problem in the city is increasing with every passing day. Every time we cross the city, we find ourselves standing frustrated in traffic congestion and criticizing the government. Is it fair to blame government for everything? Up to some extent, we also are responsible for this situation somehow. The roads are increasingly becoming difficult to walk or drive. Let’s take an example of Katraj-Swargate road. During peak hours, two-wheelers being driven on footpaths or cycle tracks to bypass vehicles waiting on road at traffic signals is a common site. Auto drivers are the curse in the city as they dominate the roads and take dangerous cuts to go ahead and risks the lives of their passengers. 6 seaters stopping off blocking one lane, promoting a chain reaction of sudden lane changes behind them.
Overtaking from wrong side, taking a shortcut, merging in main lane, etc are common sights helping in disturbing traffic of city. Most of us think red lights are for street decoration and thus ignoring it is quite common.
This situation will be much better if we all obey traffic rules.
