Garbage is one of the biggest problem for Pune. Garbage issue has acquired serious dimensions and serious efforts must be taken to resolve it. Yashwantrao Chavan Shahar Swachhata Abhiyan carried out a meeting with members of 16 societies at Dhankawadi in presence of Suresh Jagtap, head of solid waste management department of PMC. During the drive, vermicompost project at Sunita residency had been reestablished. While speaking Jagtap said,” societies have to start varmicompost project to resolve the problem of garbage disposal. All sort of help for the project will be provided by PMC”.
