A new SMS alert service has been launched by the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) where people can send an SMS to complain about garbage in their locality. sometimes there is no lifting of garbage and it is difficult to complain. Thus making it easier,PMC have launched this SMS service for people to tell us the location of the garbage. This service has been launched under the sanitation department to ensure that all garbage in the city is lifted regularly.
A simple SMS containing the message [ALERT G container location] has to be sent to 9223050607 from any mobile number and a complaint is registered with the PMC.
