The hilly area of Bhavani Temple (kothrud) is facing garbage disposal problem. Services of the garbage vehicle of PMC (Pune Municipal Corporation) are not available at the site resulting into the pilling of the garbage and unease in the area.
The priest of the temple said they segregate wet and dry garbage and they store wet garbage and allow it to decompose. But dry garbage of temple has to be burn or thrown at open space. The people from slum area take out coconut waste and utilized is as fuel for cooking.
