Deputy commissioner of police (traffic) said that They have carried out a detailed study of the area, following which they decided to create no parking zones in some areas. They have also decided to remove barricades installed under flyover from 5:30pm to 9pm so that the traffic going towards Baner, Pashan and other parts of the city can use that route.IT professionals are happy with the new traffic arrangements as they do not have to spend hours in the traffic snarl.
It has been a great respite after the city traffic department opened the route under the flyover for the people going towards Baner and Pashan. At many places they have made no parking zones, which gives additional space to the traffic coming from Hinjewadi IT park.
Traffic snarl is one of the common issues at Hinjewadi. Most of the IT people leave their offices in the evening and it results into traffic jams. However for the last one month, after the city traffic department has made changes in the route, there is a drastic change in the traffic flow as there are no traffic jams anymore.
